NEWS: AJ Green (toe) unsure about Week 8; his toe to bother him all season?

SMITTY: In an NFL Network interview, AJ Green had this to say on his toe and chances of playing in Week 8: “It’s still up in the air,” Green said. “But it definitely feels better. We’ll see about this week.” It was his answer on whether the injury would bother him all season that concerned us, as he had this to say on that: “It’s probably not gonna be 100 percent, but I hope it’s just manageable,” Green said. “I can get through the season and be fine and still play at a high level.” Hopefully Green can still play at a top 5-10 wide receiver level upon his return, but there is some risk here. Stay tuned. Mohamed Sanu has strong WR2-type appeal, if not higher, for each game that Green misses (which could be just one more game); he could maintain value even close to that level if Green comes back and can’t play at a very high level. NEWS: Percy Harvin (thigh) is questionable for Week 7.

SMITTY: The good news is that the Seahawks-Rams game is a morning game, so fantasy owners will have options, even if this comes down to a last-minute call. Be sure to stay on our news wire and Smart Alerts on this one. Looking for Week 7 Power Rankings?

NEWS: AJ Green still very doubtful for Week 7; Sanu to shine again in Week 7?

SMITTY: His toe is expected to keep him out of Week 7, but currently the Bengals are calling him day-to-day. Call it strategy to keep opponents honest, call it hope, but fantasy owners better prepare for at least one more week without Green; however, his status past Week 7 is sounding better and better. Mohamed Sanu is locked into high-end fantasy WR2-type value until Green returns, yet he is still on waivers in some larger leagues? Grab him, folks! Looking for Week 7 Power Rankings?

NEWS: AJ Green expected to miss Week 7, but will not need surgery; Marvin Jones done for season leaving Sanu to thrive?

SMITTY: We have heard mixed reports on AJ Green’s Week 7 availability, but everything is speculation at this point. So, check back all week long, and be sure to sign up for Smart Alerts. With Marvin Jones officially done for the season, Mohamed Sanu is gold until Green returns. It’s surprising that Sanu is still available in so many leagues. He has been on our Weekly Waiver Wire List for weeks — grab him if for any reason he is still out there in your league(s)! Looking for Week 7 Power Rankings?

WR A.J. Green (CIN) will miss a second consecutive game in Week 7, but he is not expected to require surgery. Green is scheduled to see a doctor Friday, Oct. 17.

NEWS: Drew Stanton (concussion) cleared for Week 6; Larry Fitzgerald for Tom Brady trade rumors?

SMITTY: Getting Stanton cleared for Week 6 is solid news for the Cards, and it makes us think that the team will hold Carson Palmer (shoulder/nerve) out one more week just to be certain they can get him as healthy as possible before he commands the offense again. As for the Larry Fitzgerald for Tom Brady trade rumors, there is a speculative piece out by Sports World Report, nothing confirmed, but it’s an interesting move, something I’d love to see go down. The Cards have John Brown ready for an expanded role, and frankly the team doesn’t use Fitz properly. The defense is the Cardinals’ foundation, they would instantly be a bigger threat with Brady under center (despite his horrible play as of late – A new environment might help him remain top 5-6 capable for 1-2 more seasons). Again, this is merely speculation at this point, but interesting speculation for sure. Checkout where we have all those Cardinals receivers ranked on our Week 6 Power Rankings now that Stanton is at least going to be under center this week. Stay tuned for more updates on Palmer, as he could still play this week. We expect a big day for Andre Ellington in the Cards’ Week 6 battle against the Redskins. Of course, that Cards defense is an excellent play in this one!

NEWS: Andre Ellington dials up 112 receiving yards and 2 total TDs in Week 5; Michael Floyd a good buy-low?

SMITTY: In Week 5 against the Broncos, Andre Ellington ran the ball 16 times for 32 yards and a touchdown, while pulling in four passes for 112 yards and another score. That should push him back into the ‘elite’ conversation for rushers. He still isn’t 100 percent, but he is far too elusive to ever bench in your RB2 slot. Looking for Week 6 trade advice? Also, keep in mind that we plan to release a buy-low/sell-high article in the next 48 hours or so, so stay tuned for that!

NEWS: Jeremy Kerley to see double-digit targets in Week 4?

SMITTY: The New York Post is predicting double-digit targets for Kerley this week, so if you need a WR, check your waiver wire for this guy. For some reason, he is still available in a lot of leagues. Looking for Week 4 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Alshon Jeffery no on Week 4 injury report; Marshall (ankle) still questionable.

SMITTY: This is great news for Jeffery and Cutler owners, but Brandon Marshall, who aggravated his ankle injury a bit on Monday night, remains questionable for Week 4. My guess is that he will just rest most of the week and then play Week 4 (early games on Sunday vs GB), but clearly you will want to stay on top of both our news wire and our Smart Alerts. Looking for Week 4 Power Rankings?

Alshon Jeffery (hamstring) and Brandon Marshall (ankle) are “going to play” Week 3 on Monday night.

SMITTY: This was expected, but it’s nice to get confirmation prior to kickoff. Marshall has elite fantasy WR1 upside whenever on the field, and Jeffery should still be considered a very high-end fantasy WR2 that can dance with the 1s on any given game day. NEWS: Roddy White and Doug Martin both inactive for Week 3; Bobby Rainey a RB1 this week and Harry Douglas a sneaky fantasy WR3?

SMITTY: Bobby Rainey is a fantasy RB1 against a Falcons rushing defense that gives up over 150 rushing yards per game and has surrendered 5TDs through the first two weeks. Get Roddy White out of your line-up, and consider Harry Douglas as a spot play this week if you’re in need. Even if you don’t own White, Douglas is a sneaky start if desperate at your fantasy WR3. Julio Jones owners better get ready for a big Week 3! Looking for Week 3 Power Rankings?
