NEWS: Julio Jones still questionable to play Week 16?

SMITTY: He was on the sideline again during Friday’s practice, so it’s very tough to tell how this situation is going to play out. This will likely be a game-time call, so stay close to both our News Wire and your Smart Alerts all weekend long! Oh, and as we said all last week and the week before, Harry Douglas is WR2/WR3-solid whenever Julio is out. He shouldn’t be available on waivers. If he is, grab him so at the very least, no one else gets to spot-start him this week should Julio sit. Looking for Week 16 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Delanie Walker (knee) active for Week 16 Thursday night; Kendall Wright (hand) also active.

SMITTY: Delanie Walker (knee) active for Week 16 Thursday night; Kendall Wright (hand) also active. Looking for Week 16 Power Rankings?

NEWS: TY Hilton (hamstring) not practicing yet on Thursday?

SMITTY: This is a tough spot to be in for all you TY Hilton owners out there, as the Colts have already clinched the AFC South. The Colts could be cautious with Hilton so that he is ready to rock in the playoffs. Stay on this via our news wire, and be certain to dial into our Smart Alerts in order to get updates on the receiver heading into kickoff (should news break). Looking for Week 16 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Cam Newton taking first team reps, on track to start Week 16?

SMITTY: He took most of the first-team reps during Thursday’s practice, which indicates he will be back in the line-up this week (unless, of course, he suffers a setback of some kind, which is why you need to be dialed into our Smart Alerts). This is great news for Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen, but Cam is still a risky play given we aren’t sure how much his back will affect his play (especially running) in Week 16. NEWS: Andre Johnson (concussion) back practicing and expected to play Week 16?

SMITTY: He was inactive last week but appears set to return against the Ravens. With Case Keenum/Thad Lewis as the top passers in Houston right now, it’s tough to know what you’re going to get out of anyone but Arian Foster in Week 16. AJ is a WR3 in most formats, though, and Hopkins can flirt with WR2-type numbers based on his talent alone, but again, with passers like Houston has, a dud week is just as likely as any sort of solid week. Horrible timing for Week 16. If Julio Jones sits (and he will be a Sunday morning call), make sure Harry Douglas (monitor his health) isn’t sitting on waivers, as he is a fine Week 16 plug-and-play if Jones sits. If Jones doesn’t sit, Douglas still has WR3 upside. Looking for Week 16 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Julio Jones (hip) could miss Week 16?

SMITTY: Earlier reports suggested that coach Smith expects Julio Jones (hip) to play the Saints in Week 16, but we have seen this too many times before, where a coach, or player, promises the world and then sits. Don’t count on having Julio this week if just to ensure you’re prepared for the worst-case scenario. Harry Douglas, one of our top pick-up recommendations of the week last week, should be owned in all formats, as he is almost a low-end WR2 whenever Julio is out. We will keep you posted once we know more on the stud’s status for this most-important week in fantasy. Looking for Week 16 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Keenan Allen (collarbone/ankle) done for the year?

SMITTY: Not only is he dealing with the ankle injury, it does appear he injured his collarbone. Expect him to be done for the year, although, he is technically being called week to week. What a shame for a player that came out of one of the most impressive rookie seasons (last year) for a receiver we’ve seen in quite some time. Before you write him off in dynasty, or for 2015, keep in mind that Dez Bryant was one of the most doubted ‘will he ever be that stud receiver’ entering his third NFL season…. it just takes three seasons sometimes, even for elite studs like Dez. Give Malcom Floyd, Antonio Gates and Eddie Royal small bumps heading into Week 16, just because they will see more targets. Looking for Week 16 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Andre Johnson (concussion) remains questionable for Week 15; Arian Foster probable.

SMITTY: He failed to get medical clearance on Friday, so he remains iffy this week. He if AJ plays, he won’t be 100 percent, so we might see the DeAndre Hopkins show no matter what. Also, Arian Foster (groin) is now probable, so both Foster and Hopkins going to see a grip of action in Week 15. Looking for Week 15 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Demaryius Thomas (ankle) probable for Week 15.

SMITTY: He practiced in full on Friday, according to most reports, so he is back in the top 1-5WR range for Week 15. We expect a huge bounce-back effort out of Peyton Manning, Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders (and hopefully Julius Thomas returns to action with some top 5TE production). Also, CJ Anderson is now probable for this game and fully expected to play. He was limited some on Thursday with an ankle injury, but is fully expected to be back to starter carries in Week 15. NEWS: Julio Jones (hip) a true game-time decision for Week 15.

SMITTY: This is one of those true game-time calls, so you will have to be signed up for Smart Alerts and be checking this Breaking News Wire all morning on Sunday. This is a morning game on Sunday, so fantasy owners will at least have options should the receiver not play (Harry Douglas is a fine “grab and start” if Jones does in fact sit, and if you own Jones, grab Douglas now just in case). Roddy White will also see an uptick in targets should Julio sit, so he’d become a solid play this week as well, however, we like Douglas a bit more given Roddy (ankle) is still banged up.
