Week 11 Waiver Wire

smitty staff

Hey folks… Week 11 Waiver Wire Recommendations are below. Enjoy!

Rob Kelley | RB WAS

Despite being on our Waiver Wire List a few times this year already, Rob Kelley is still available in about half of all leagues. He has excellent flex-type value, if not higher, if he continues to get starter carries. In Week 10, he rushed 22 times for 97 yards in Week 10 against the Vikings.

CJ Prosise / Thomas Rawls | RB SEA

C.J. Prosise carried the ball 17 times for 66 yards in Week 10 against the Patriots. He also pulled in seven passes for 87 yards. Christine Michael was hurt (hamstring) in this one, and Thomas Rawls is expected back from injury, so there is a chance he has a big role moving forward, but there is also a chance either Michael or Rawls get those starter carries. Grab both Prosise and Rawls in case Michael falters or gets replaced, as the starter in SEA has strong value.

Eli Rogers | WR PIT

In Week 1, Eli Rogers pulled in 6 passes for 59 yards and 1TD, but he has been kind of banged up until recently. His last two games: 6/103/0TDs and 4/42/1TD. He easily has strong fantasy WR4-type value, if not higher, moving forward.

Tyreek Hill | WR KC

His last three games: 5/98/1TD, 3/11/0TDs and 10/89/0TDs.

Cameron Brate | TE TB

Cameron Brate has been on our list before. His last three games: 3/22/1TD, 5/43/1TD and 7/84/1TD.

NOTE: Last week, James Starks was a must-add and should be ranked in right around 1-2 above if available in your league.

Sunday Morning Breaking News (Week 11)

Below is our STARTERS Breaking News Wire, which will provide live breaking news all Sunday morning. Keep checking back all morning long, as news often breaks last second, thus we can update the Analyzers multiple times per hour, sometimes 2-3 times within the last 20 minutes!

NEWS: Bears WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder, groin) is inactive for Week 11 against Denver.

FANTASY: This is horrible news for Jay Cutler and of course Jeffery owners. Get ready for a big dose of Jeremy Langford.

NEWS: Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (groin) is active for Week 11 against Miami.

FANTASY: Most reports suggest he will be close to being without limitation, but it’s tough to know how healthy he is. Turbin is expected to be the backup, but it’s also a guessing game as to how fast he has picked up the offense. It sounds like McFadden is a go, and the matchup is awesome.

NEWS: Bucs WR Vincent Jackson is active for Week 11 against Philly.

FANTASY: There was debate whether or not he’d be active in this one. He is risky given he was very questionable for this one, but get on our forums if you have a dilemma between VJax and someone else. If starting and healthy, he is always a decent play. The question is, is he healthy?

NEWS: The Eagles declared RB Ryan Mathews, QB Sam Bradford inactive for Week 11 against Tampa.

FANTASY: Get ready for a ton of DeMarco Murray. Even Darren Sproles could have relevance in this one now.

NEWS: Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders and Broncos QB Peyton Manning are inactive for Week 11.

FANTASY: Demaryius Thomas should be in for more targets than usual, and Owen Daniels is a solid start, and look for Cody Latimer to get some good run if in desperate need at WR3/4.

NEWS: Panthers WR Corey Brownis inactive for Week 11 against Washington.

FANTASY: Devin Funchess could have a bigger game than usual and is a solid WR3 start this week.

NEWS: Chargers WR Dontrelle Inman will be San Diego’s #2WR in Week 11.

FANTASY: It looks like it’s just Inman and Stevie Johnson at the WR position. Inman is worth a grab in deeper leagues, especially if you are in need this week. Same goes for Stevie.

NEWS: Cowboys QB Tony Romo has been activated off of the injured reserve-designated to return list.

FANTASY: Welcome back, Tony, who will start against the Dolphins in Week 11, which is fantastic news for Dez Bryant and Jason Witten owners.

NEWS: Bills RB Karlos Williams (illness) is no longer on the Week 11 injury report.

FANTASY: The runner could reach double-digit points even playing behind starter LeSean McCoy on Monday night. McCoy is still a RB1, though, don’t let Williams’ solid play and occasional play scare you off on ranking McCoy as a RB1 for as long as he is healthy. His health is a concern, though, so if you own McCoy and do not own Karlos, be sure to try and trade for him last minute in case McCoy gets hurt in Week 11! If McCoy makes it out of Week 11 ok, even more of a reason to go get Karlos on the cheap! You need both!

NEWS: According to reports, Dallas RB Darren McFadden (questionable, groin) could see a reduction in carries in Week 11.

FANTASY: Robert Turbin is likely to be McFadden’s most valuable backup, and then Rod Smith is next in line. It’s a guessing game, though, as we just can’t predict if Turbin will be up to speed in time for this one, so know that both runners, Turbin and Smith, are must-haves if McFadden is a stater for your team. It’s tough cuffing two players to one, but it’s kind of a must until we see Turbin settle into that backup role. With McFadden’s injury history, we strongly believe one of Turbin/Smith will start some games this year… both should be owned in all leagues given that upside!

NEWS: Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (abdomen) is “questionable” for Week 11, but early reports are leaning in the direction of Lynch playing in Week 11.

FANTASY: Keep tabs on this by staying on this article and our Smart Alerts. For now, he looks like a go, but setbacks happen in warmups. Stay tuned!

Week 11 Waiver Wire Adds

smitty staff

Ok, folks, so we are heading into Week 11, which is often the time where injuries have hit your teams pretty hard, or some players have totally busted and you’re in need. Here are the top Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 11.

Not Likely Available, But Check!

Matt Jones – Not likely available, as he was a breakout bold prediction for us. He has been slow getting going, and spotty at times, but he looked beast-mode like on Sunday. Let’s hope he gets starter touches moving forward!
Tevin Coleman – Just in case Freeman gets hurt.

Solid!

Danny Amendola – With Julian Edelman likely out for the rest of the regular season, Danny Amendola instantly becomes a fantasy WR3 that has upside for much more. He is often injured, so curb expectations for sure, but he has nice upside for a waiver wire grab!

More Grabs

Jay Ajayi
James White
Thomas Rawls
David Cobb
Ahmad Bradshaw
Javorius “Buck” Allen
Jordan Todman
Chris Polk
Christine Michael
Ameer Abdullah
Brandon Bolden
Dexter McCluster

News: 11/16 – Ryan Mathews is active for Week 11 against the Raiders.
Take: This was expected, but he and Oliver remain risky plays given the workload distribution is cloudy.

News: 11/16 – According to Tony Grossi, of ESPN, “In pre-game warmups, Terrance West took 1st rep w #Browns offense. Team has not announced any change at RB. List Ben Tate on depth chart.”
Take: This conflicts with the other report we just posted below. Clearly this situation is a touch cloudy, but West is coming off 26 carries last week and looked good doing it. All these CLE backs have TD ability. West feels like the best play, but Crowell and Tate, because of the TD capability, have low-end flex upside.

News: 11/16 – According to rotoworld, ESPN Cleveland’s Tony Grossi is reporting that “it appears” that the Browns will start Isaiah Crowell at running back against the Texans in Week 11.
Take: This is curious, as Terrance West received over 20 carries last week. “Starting” might not mean more carries, but this clearly should alarm fantasy owners a bit. If you have a dilemma involving West/Crowell, get on our forums and get some advice!

News: 11/16 – NFL Network’s Albert Breer tweeted this regarding Marshawn Lynch’s (calf) playing Week 11: “Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch is officially listed as questionable, but teammates and friends expect him to play. Had a strong practice Friday.”
Take: Solid news, and we expected this. Of course, stay on top of our news and Smart Alerts on this one just in case (all the way up to kickoff), but he appears safe to start this week, folks!

News: 11/16 – ESPN’s Dan Graziano tweeted this regarding Rashad Jennings’ touches for Week 11: “I say over. RT @MWSpiak: @DanGrazianoESPN over under. 20 touches today for Rashad Jennings.”
Take: That would be plenty of touches to deserve a start, so hopefully this is how it plays out for all you/us Jennings owners. He appears safe to start this week, folks.

News: 11/16 – Texans RB Arian Foster will sit Week 11; Alfred Blue will start Week 11 against the Browns.
Take: This isn’t a surprise, but it kind of locks in Blue as a sneaky RB2 play this week, so be sure to grab him off waivers if he is still sitting there.

News: 11/16 – Broncos RB Montee Ball (groin) is probable for Week 11.
Take: He may or may not get a ton of work in Week 11. He is a risky play if you happen to be rolling him out onto the field in this one. For now, and this could change with some last-minute news, CJ Anderson is the stronger bet for starter carries in this game. But, Ball could play well and the Broncos pull a “hot hand” approach. It’s just one of those situations.

News: 11/16 – Lions RB Reggie Bush (questionable, ankle) will not play in Sunday’s Week 11 contest against the Cardinals.
Take: This makes both Joique Bell and Theo Riddick better plays, but more so Riddick, as at least he can do some damage in the passing game. Bell, despite getting most early-down work, could struggle to find room against that Cardinals’ rushing defense. So, Riddick has the flex appeal here in this one.

News: 11/16 – Cardinals RB Andre Ellington (foot) is probable for Week 11.
Take: No surprise here, as his limited practice time is just to get that foot as healthy as possible. Expect a big day against the Lions given how involved the runner is in both the rushing and passing game. With Carson Palmer out, the team could lean more on the run and Ellington.

News: 11/16 – Seahawks RB Marshawn Lynch (calf) is questionable for Week 11.
Take: Stay on top of this one via this news wire/Smart Alerts, but most sources predict that Lynch will play. Still, the aggressive rusher needs to be handcuffed to Christine Michael, who could be the future rusher in SEA starting next season. Get on our Forums to talk about this topic and more!

News: 11/16 – Seahawks TE Tony Moeaki is expected to be used quite a bit in Week 11 against the Chiefs.
Take: It’s tough to count on this, but if in a very deep league, and in need at TE, he is someone to consider. Typically there are better options on waivers, though, but that just depends on how deep your league is.

News: 11/16 – Vikings TE Kyle Rudolph might end up being on some sort of snap count during Week 11.
Take: Keep this in mind if you are rolling him out onto the field.

News: 11/16 – Saints RB Khiry Robinson (arm) is ‘out’ for Week 11.
Take: Mark Ingram is locked in for another big day!
