NEWS: Josh Gordon pled guilty to DWI; Not likely to face increased suspension.

SMITTY: According to several sources, this occurred under the old policy, so Josh Gordon won’t see further discipline in terms of suspended games. The stud is fully expected to return to action in Week 12. Now, if he can just keep his head on straight, he has all of his legal matters behind him. Gordon maintains top 10WR upside for the future, and for Weeks 12-16. Looking for Week 3 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Josh Gordon suspended for 10 games!

According to reports, Browns WR Josh Gordon will miss 10 games under the terms of the NFL’s new drug policy.

SMITTY: He missed one game already, and the team has a Week 4 bye, so that puts his return in Week 12. Congrats to all who collected this guy on roster after roster this August, it was something we pushed hard with Smart Alerts and breaking news posts, and despite it not being just a half-season ban, playing Weeks 12-16 is a monster bonus for those that own the stud. Buying low in dynasty was also a huge deal, so nice work there as well if you stole him away in the panic.

NEWS: Josh Gordon looking at 8-game ban?

According to Adam Schefter on Twitter, Browns WR Josh Gordon (suspended) is expected to be looking at an 8-game ban after a new drug policy is approved as early as this afternoon.

SMITTY: This would be fantastic for those who scooped up Josh Gordon late in drafts like we’ve been recommending for weeks. He should no longer be available in any leagues, right? We have been sending out Smart Alerts on this all week, that he needed to be grabbed if available on waivers. We will let you know once/if this becomes official. Look for Wes Welker to see his suspension fully reduced — We should know more shortly, stay tuned.

NEWS: Josh Gordon could see a 6-10 game suspension instead of year-long?

According to Matthew Berry on Twitter, “@AdamSchefter on NFL Insiders just said if NFL-NFLPA agreement is approved, Josh Gordon would still be suspended for some games, maybe 6-10.”

SMITTY: Having Josh Gordon for 10 games would be unreal for those who invested in the receiver despite his current ‘year-long’ suspension status. Russ Bliss and I have talked about this for over three-to-four weeks now, especially heading into the last 2-3 weeks of fantasy football drafting… there was/is no risk scooping Gordon up in the late rounds (or even middle rounds) of your fantasy draft, and in leagues where he is still a free agent (or was), I would drop most all of my free agent dollars on the chance he returns for even 6 games. Same goes for Wes Welker, who has a stronger shot of having his ban completely wiped out. Stay on top of this situation in real-time by sign-up for our Smart Alerts.

NEWS: Josh Gordon return inevitable?

According to ESPN Cleveland, the return of Browns WR Josh Gordon (suspended for season) is “inevitable”.

SMITTY: While it’s some guess-work on this writer’s part, it’s certainly great news for those hoping for a Josh Gordon return this season. If Gordon is available in your league, and he shouldn’t be as we have said all month long that he is worth owning just in case, grab him! Nothing is certain, but if a deal gets done between the NFL and the union next week, players recently suspended for violations could have reduced bans if not eliminated (so this could include Wes Welker). NEWS: Josh Gordon and Wes Welker could be back soon?

This fresh from ESPN:

Josh Gordon also had this to say on possibly suing the NFL in order to play right away: “The whole being in limbo thing, I’m over it,” Gordon said Friday. “I’m not waiting on the edge of my seat anymore.” A new drug policy agreement could still open the door to a lifted or reduced suspension, as seen in the video above.

NEWS: Josh Gordon and Wes Welker still could see suspensions reduced?

According to ProFootballTalk.com, there is still a chance that the suspensions of both Wes Welker and Josh Gordon could benefit from a new drug testing policy. The report suggests that both players could see reduced suspensions if it all plays out right.

SMITTY: It’s probably a long-shot, but it’s important to keep in mind. We will let you know when we know more. Looking for Week 1 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Josh Gordon suspended for 1 year.

According to Mike Garafolo on Twitter, According to Mike Garafolo sources tell @FOXSports1 Browns that WR Josh Gordon’s one-year suspension “has been upheld on appeal.”

SMITTY: Horrible news for those hoping Josh Gordon was going to slip out of a one year ban. We will keep you posted if we hear more.
