Breaking News Update:
UPDATE (9/22/15) Updating a previous report, Drew Brees got a second opinion from famous Dr. James Andrews and the good doctor reportedly told Brees to “rehab hard.” It looks like Brees won’t need surgery, but his Week 3 availability is up in the air. Luke McCown would start if Brees can’t play in Week 3.
(9/22/15) Drew Brees is all over the news today, with earlier news (today) suggesting that the QB could be out a couple games with a somewhat severe shoulder injury. However, as we said when we sent out the Smart Alert on this last night, nothing was confirmed, just a bunch of rumors (pretty reliable sources, though). Well, as it turns out, we are looking at a false alarm, and the QB looks better off than expected. He is currently NOT expected to miss time, so don’t freakout and expect him to rumble in Week 3.
(9/22/15) Dwayne Allen left Monday night’s Week 2 game against the Jets with what appears to be an ankle injury. Keep an eye on this, as Coby Fleener would be a very sneaky pickup should Allen miss significant time.
