NEWS: Andre Ellington on IR; Kerwynn Williams a must-grab entering Week 15?

SMITTY: While this situation is still very cloudy, as Stepfan Taylor could remain the starter on paper, all the momentum is with the super-talented Kerwynn Williams. If you watched the press conference after the game, Cardinals coach Bruce Arians talked up Williams in a major way, going as far as to say the following: “Just in case you don’t know who is Kerwynn Williams, he’s number 33.” He then added, “We’ve already given him a game ball. I knew Kerwynn was going to play well, that’s why we made the move. He has been the only guy on our practice field that made our players go wow. Making people miss.” Again, I can’t stress enough that this situation is cloudy, and Marion Grice is still in the mix for touches moving forward, but Williams is the definition of “upside”, which a lot of times comes along with risk (especially when you’re talking about playing someone like this in Weeks 15-17). Grab this guy in dynasty, no question, and consider him a sneaky RB3/flex option heading into Week 15. Looking for Week 15 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Stepfan Taylor to start Week 14 for AZ.

SMITTY: We should see a mix of Stepfan Taylor and Marion Grice in this game against KC. Taylor is a decent emergency plug-and-play, though, so grab him if in need at the RB position. The timetable for return for Andre Ellington is unknown. Looking for Week 14 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Rashad Jennings, Andre Ellington, Justin Hunter updates and more.

TAKE: Smitty and Russ Bliss breakdown all of the Week 14 injuries, including the players just listed above (and more), in the very beginning of the Radio Show linked here:

NEWS: Andre Ellington injuries hip in Week 13.

SMITTY: This is the last thing Andre Ellington owners needed, as the guy was already playing relatively-well considering the foot injury. Word has it that he claims to be ok, but it’s not crazy to think he misses a game or so. Stay tuned on this one. If he sits, the Cards would use a RBBC using Marion Grice, Michael Bush and Stepfan Taylor.

NEWS: Andre Ellington (foot) limited in practice Thursday; Is there a reason to worry about Michael Bush?

SMITTY: This could go either way, meaning Ellington could be a huge disappointment in Week 13 (and the rest of the way), or he could be fresh and explosive given the presence of Michael Bush. The limited practice isn’t a concern, as of yet, and either is the presence of Bush, as of yet. Ellington is a fine high-end RB2 with RB1-type upside. Looking for Week 13 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Michael Bush signs with the Cardinals.

SMITTY: This is a solid football move by the Cardinals, and this is coming from a huge Andre Ellington fan. Sure, this probably means that Bush will immediately become the team’s goal line back, but this will just keep Ellington fresh. Bush is a decent bench RB to pick-up if you are in deep/large leagues. NEWS: Carson Palmer, Andre Ellington and Michael Floyd all practicing and expected to play Week 7.

SMITTY: All three have been limited here and there this week, but all three are expect to be a go this week. Ellington and Floyd have top 8-12 upside at their positions when Palmer is in the lineup – Palmer is a necessity for that offense from a fantasy perspective. Ellington has been consistent all year long, despite his foot injury, but you have to think that MONSTER outing is nearby. Looking for Week 7 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Carson Palmer threw on Tuesday; he could start Week 6?

SMITTY: Keep in mind that he threw last Tuesday as well, but had a setback with the nerve in his shoulder. This is a great sign, and an earlier report on Sunday said that Palmer had a ‘breakthrough’, so this sounds positive. Getting him back in the line-up would boost values for all three of Michael Floyd, Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Ellington (who still has top 5-10RB upside with a potent offense behind him). Stay tuned on this one! Looking for Week 6 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Andre Ellington dials up 112 receiving yards and 2 total TDs in Week 5; Michael Floyd a good buy-low?

SMITTY: In Week 5 against the Broncos, Andre Ellington ran the ball 16 times for 32 yards and a touchdown, while pulling in four passes for 112 yards and another score. That should push him back into the ‘elite’ conversation for rushers. He still isn’t 100 percent, but he is far too elusive to ever bench in your RB2 slot. Looking for Week 6 trade advice?
