Week 14 Waiver Wire Advice

smitty staff

Below are our Week 14 Waiver Wire recommendations.

Ladarius Green (TE/PIT)

He appears healthy, and he pulled in 6 receptions for 110 yards and 1TD in Week 13. He’s a strong back-end TE1 moving forward — for as long as he stays healthy that is.

Malcolm Mitchell / Chris Hogan (WR/NE)

He had 8 receptions for 82 yards in Week 13. Rob Gronkowski is out, so that almost guarantees solid targets for Mitchell moving forward! Same goes for Hogan, who will now see more targets moving forward. He pulled in 23 yards and a TD in Week 13.

Mike Gillislee (RB/BUF)

Gillislee would have great numbers per start if McCoy ever missed time. He is even flex-worthy each week in larger leagues, as he could score a TD even in his sharing situation.

Dontrelle Inman (WR/SD)

He seems to find the end zone lately, scoring last week and the week prior.

Adam Thielen (WR/MIN)

He has pulled in at least 5 receptions and at least 50 yards in each of his last three games. Last week, in Week 13, he pulled in 7 receptions for 86 yards.

Week 13 Waiver Wire

smitty staff

Dion Lewis (NE/RB)

(Available in near 50% of all leagues)
In Week 12, he ran the ball six times for 24 yards and added four catches on seven targets for 34 yards. Sure, he is sharing carries with James White and LeGarrette Blount, but he has a strong chance to bump White out of a lot of playing time. And, since he pulls in passes more than he runs, Blount and Lewis can co-exist. There is risk, but he has low-end RB1 appeal if a full go and getting those touches!

Tyreek Hill (KC/WR)

(Available in near 65-70% of all leagues)
Hill scored a rushing, receiving and return touchdown against the Broncos, becoming the first to do all three in a single game since Gale Sayers back in 1965. He isn’t likely available in any dynasty leagues, but check just in case. However, in redraft, he makes a fine WR3/4 and he is available in 60-70% of most leagues.

Tim Hightower (NO/RB)

(Available in near 50% of all leagues)
Mark Ingram and Tim Hightower keep producing awesome numbers together in New Orleans. It’s crazy how both of these rushers keep thriving. In Week 12, Hightower totaled 105 yards (51 rushing, 54 receiving) all while Ingram ran for 146 yards and 1TD, while also pulling in a receiving score. Mark Ingram was insane in Week 12, that needs to be said. He has two 140+ rushing games in the last four games. He also has 4TDs in that span. While Hightower could have some bad games coming up should Ingram continue to shine, it’s important to note how productive one of these rushers would be if starting by themselves. Hightower is a must add for that reason, and he also has strong flex value right now in larger leagues.

Malcolm Mitchell (NE/WR)

(Available in near 80-90% of all leagues)
Last week, he pulled in 4/98/1TD… this past weekend, against the Jets, he pulled in 5/42/2TDs. He’s a must-player WR3/4 in larger leagues (with upside for more), and he is a potential gem in dynasty (and not likely available in competitive dynasty leagues).

Wendell Smallwood (PHI/RB)

(Available in near 70% of all leagues)
Ryan Mathews is officially out for Monday night’s Week 12 game against the Packers, and while Darren Sproles is expected to play, Smallwood has super-strong flex value in this Monday night battle. Smallwood isn’t likely open in any dynasty leagues, but clearly redraft leaguers have continued to leave him on the waiver wire. Mistake!

More Week 13 Adds:

C.J. Fiedorowicz (HOU/TE)
Tyler Boyd (CIN/WR)
Anquan Boldin (DET/@NO)
Mohamed Sanu (ATL/WR)

Week 7 Waiver Wire

Below are your top pickups heading into Week 7 of the 2016 fantasy season. Don’t miss out on guys that can help you win in Weeks 7-16!

EDIT 10/18/16 Knile Davis (RB/GB) – The Packers have just traded for former Chiefs RB Knile Davis, who now sits as the only healthy running back on the Packers roster (with Lacy maybe looking at missing multiple weeks with his ankle, and Starks could be out up to four weeks or more). Ty Montgomery, who has experience at RB from college, could get more carries in Week 7 than anyone expects, and so could Cobb, but I’ve always loved Knile Davis, and if you remember back near two years ago, Knile was a Bold Prediction of mine that failed due to not being used. Talent has never been his problem. I love Knile in Green Bay, it’s a great situation. I just hope he gets the touches. If he does, he should thrive.

Jay Ajayi (RB/MIA) – He just rushed for 204 yards and two touchdowns in Week 6. Will he get starter carries moving forward? He should, but grab him until we know, he could be a beast down the stretch if MIA feeds him the rock.

Cameron Meredith (WR/CHI) – In Week 5, he posted 100 yards and 1TD. This past week, he again posted 100 yards. Are we looking at a rising star?

Hunter Henry (TE/SD) – Henry had 83 yards and a touchdown in Week 6 and is a top 5-10TE moving forward.

James White (RB/NE) – This week he pulled in 8-of-9 targets for 47 yards and two touchdowns. He had a strong receiving week last week, so in PPR, he is a must play let alone must add.

Jacquizz Rodgers (RB/TB) – Tampa is coming off the bye and we don’t know where Doug Martin is health wise yet. But, Rodgers, who rushed for 100 yards the week prior, would be a workhorse if Martin couldn’t go in Week 7.

More Adds

Devontae Booker (RB/DEN)
Cole Beasley (WR/DAL)
Torrey Smith (WR/SF)
Mike Gillislee (RB/BUF)
Tony Romo (QB/DAL)
Dion Lewis (RB/NE)
Kenny Britt (WR/LA)
Ty Montgomery (WR/GB)

Week 14 Waiver Wire Pickups

smitty staff

For most of you out there, this is the last week to pickup players for that Week 14-16 (or 17) playoff run. So, don’t forget to grab a backup at each position, unless you feel super secure at let’s say your TE1… however, anyone can get hurt, so just take a good look at your roster prior to Week 14 kickoff. Good luck in Week 14, everyone! Here are the top Week 14 adds.

RB James White, NE
RB Bilal Powell, NYJ
WR DeVante Parker, MIA
WR Dorial Green-Beckham, TEN
WR Tyler Lockett, SEA
RB Darren Sproles, PHI
RB Shaun Draughn, SF
RB Kerwynn Williams, AZ

Week 13 Waiver Wire Grabs

smitty staff

Ok, so it’s Week 13 and it’s time to ensure that none of these players are sitting on waivers in your league. Others (below these top five) are also great adds this week, especially if you’re in need at certain positions.

Week 13 Adds

Doug Baldwin, WR SEA – He is not likely available in most leagues, but you need to check waivers just in case! His last three weeks: 7-134/1TD… 6-60/0TDs… 6-145/3TDs.

David Johnson, RB AZ – Should start with CJ2K out, and with Andre Ellington also banged up.

Markus Wheaton, WR PIT – Don’t expect consistency, as he is the third receiver in PIT, but he should be added.

Spencer Ware, RB KC – West could be back this week, or he may not. Ware is worth owning just in case, and in case West goes down again.

Javorious “Buck” Allen, RB BAL – He is a solid runner that could be hurt by game flow, but he is a solid starter and worth owning, no doubt.

The Rest

Jay Ajayi, RB MIA
Shaun Draughn, RB SF
Antonio Andrews, RB TEN
Steve Johnson, WR, SD
Kamar Aiken, WR, BAL
DeVante Parker, WR MIA
Crockett Gillmore, BAL

Week 11 Waiver Wire Adds

smitty staff

Ok, folks, so we are heading into Week 11, which is often the time where injuries have hit your teams pretty hard, or some players have totally busted and you’re in need. Here are the top Waiver Wire Pickups for Week 11.

Not Likely Available, But Check!

Matt Jones – Not likely available, as he was a breakout bold prediction for us. He has been slow getting going, and spotty at times, but he looked beast-mode like on Sunday. Let’s hope he gets starter touches moving forward!
Tevin Coleman – Just in case Freeman gets hurt.

Danny Amendola – With Julian Edelman likely out for the rest of the regular season, Danny Amendola instantly becomes a fantasy WR3 that has upside for much more. He is often injured, so curb expectations for sure, but he has nice upside for a waiver wire grab!

More Grabs

Jay Ajayi
James White
Thomas Rawls
David Cobb
Ahmad Bradshaw
Javorius “Buck” Allen
Jordan Todman
Chris Polk
Christine Michael
Ameer Abdullah
Brandon Bolden
Dexter McCluster

Week 10 Waiver Wire Adds

Top Three Pick-Ups For Week 10

Karlos Williams, RB, Bills – If starting, and it sounds like (as of now) LeSean McCoy could play Thursday night, Williams would be a beast. He is a must-own regardless, as McCoy continues to get banged up. Williams is one of the best backup running backs in the NFL right now.

Jeremy Langford, RB, Bears – If you need a RB this week and this guy is still out there, he needs to be grabbed ASAP. He has 100 total yard upside each week that he starts, and with Matt Forte banged up, he is currently starting.

James Starks, RB, Packers – Eddie Lacy is struggling bad, and he is not banged up. Given he is having weight issues and banged up, the odds of injury go up with him. Starks is a sneaky RB to own and might already be producing decent flex numbers even if Lacy is on the field.

More Waiver Wire Adds

Brandon Bolden, RB, Patriots

James White, RB, Patriots

Dontrelle Inman, WR, Chargers

Dorial Green-Beckham, WR, Titans

Jordan Todman, RB, Steelers

Shaun Draughn, RB, 49ers

Cole Beasley, WR, Cowboys

Devin Funchess, WR, Panthers

Marcel Reece, RB, Raiders

Jamison Crowder, WR, Redskins

Kirk Cousins, QB, Redskins

Week 9 Waiver Wire Recommendations

Top Pickups of Week 9

DeAngelo Williams
Jeremy Langford

With LeVeon Bell (MCL) out for the year, there is no better pick up than DeAngelo Williams. He is 100-yard/TD capable every single week that he starts, and he is now the starter in PIT. Matt Forte might be out for 2 weeks, maybe longer, maybe shorter, but that leaves Jeremy Langford as the current lead dog in Chicago. He should be owned in all leagues.

More Adds

David Cobb
Theo Riddick
Kendall Gaskins
Antonio Andrews
Chris Thompson
Karlos Williams
James Starks
Charles Sims
Javorius “Buck” Allen
Christine Michael
Ahmad Bradshaw
Dwayne Harris
Jamison Crowder

Week 8 Waiver Wire Grabs

smitty staff

Hey everyone, below are the top pickups for Week 8. If you have other names that you are seeing available in your waiver pool, comment below!

Week 8 Waiver Wire Grabs

Chris Polk/Alfred Blue (RB/HOU) – With Arian Foster out of the season (Achilles), these two will likely be this week’s top pickups. Who is going to start? Will either start? Will the team bring in someone else to muddy the situation? It’s tough to say. As of now, news wires all around suggest Polk is the clear lead here, but Blue has more talent if you ask me. Both are must-add players.

Orleans Darkwa (RB/NYG) – This kid looked good in 7, rushing eight times for 48 yards (6.0 YPC) and 1TD. He could see more carries moving forward and should be grabbed.

Danny Amendola (WR/NE) – He probably wont be consistent, but he had a nice Week 7 and looks healthy – for now.

David Cobb (RB/TEN) – He could return in Week 9, so monitor him on waivers if able.

Probably Not Available, But Check

Make sure all three of Jordan Reed, Charcandrick West and Stefon Diggs are not available in your league. All three are not likely available, but check, as all three are fantasy starters moving forward, not just good pickups.

Week 7 Waiver Wire Adds

smitty staff

Below are some Week 7 waiver wire must-adds.

Christine Michael (RB/DAL) – He is getting first-team reps and coming off a bye week. He is boom or bust material, but his upside is huge. He should already be owned in larger leagues, as we have been pushing for fantasy owners to pick this sleeper up all season.

James Starks (RB/GB) – His 112 yards and 2TDs in Week 6 was head-scratching given Eddie Lacy wasn’t suppose to be injured in this one, but keep in mind that Starks did that damage on just 10 carries. Will he earn more touches? Is Lacy hurt? It’s tough to say how this will shake out, but that’s why Starks is a must-add entering Week 7 (if available).

Stefon Diggs (WR/MIN) – He was a sleeper this week, but his 9 targets for 7 receptions and 129 yards was shocking. He looks like a real find in dynasty, so grab this kid if still available.

Benjamin Watson (TE/NO) – He looks to have a place in NO, and we so no reason he can’t be a top 5-10 fantasy TE if he continues to stay healthy.

Brandon LaFell (WR/NE)

Theo Riddick (RB/DET)

Brian Hoyer (QB/CLE)
