According to reports, the Giants have placed RB David Wilson (neck) on injured reserve, ending his season. His career is over.
SMITTY: David Wilson, like Jahvid Best, was a serious NFL talent that had monster fantasy football upside. It’s a shame we never got to see him at his best. We wish him all the best. Rashad Jennings and Andre Williams both have the ability to be strong fantasy contributors in 2014, but they could also diminish each other’s values. It’s possible they co-exist, and Jennings could be a 50-reception back this season given that Williams flat-out can’t catch. As of now, goal-line and short-yardage work is expect to go to Williams, making him flex-worthy in deep leagues this upcoming fantasy season. And, Jennings will get a grip of rushing yards, maybe less touchdowns than his owners would like, but 50+ receptions, thus making him a sneaky RB2 in 2014 (if you don’t have to overpay by the time you draft, at which point we’d take a pass).
