According to dallasnews.com, Cowboys RB Lance Dunbar “continues to be impressive.”
SMITTY: DeMarco Murray has top 15 overall upside heading into 2014, no question, but there are some injury concerns with the dynamic talent. The solution if you plan on investing in Murray in 2014 (or if you own him in dynasty)? Handcuff him to Lance Dunbar. Some will argue that the true back-up is Joseph Randle, who is likely ahead of Ryan Williams, but I love Dunbar’s skill set, and I think he shines if ever forced to carry more weight for the Cowboys in ’14. First off, he is already cemented into that Cowboys’ passing attack, so he has big PPR appeal. If Murray went down, Dunbar would shine if given the shot.
According to ESPN’s Todd Archer, Dallas WR Dez Bryant could be using Jimmy Graham’s recent $40 million deal as a baseline for his next contract, which would put Bryant in line with top-paid receivers like Brandon Marshall, Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Percy Harvin, Mike Wallace, Dwayne Bowe and Vincent Jackson (all receiving over $10 million per year annually).
SMITTY: Dez Bryant is one of the league’s top receivers, so he will likely land a bigger deal than Graham inked. While Calvin Johnson is arguably the best fantasy wide receiver in the game right now (and top 5-6 overall pick in all 2014 PPR drafts), he will start next season at the age of 30 — The future of fantasy football, at least at the wide receiver position, is Dez Bryant, Julio Jones, AJ Green and Demaryius Thomas. All four feel like absolute first-round fantasy locks heading into 2015 and beyond. As for Bryant this upcoming season, you can count on the stud playing his heart out, as he will be playing for money… A healthy Tony Romo should produce over 4,000 passing yards and 30+ touchdowns, and I see Dez pulling in at least 11-13 of those scores.
