SMITTY: The Jets declared TE Jace Amaro, RE Muhammad Wilkerson, QB Matt Simms, WR Walter Powell, CB Josh Thomas, OL Dakota Dozier, and OL Wesley Johnson inactive for Monday night’s Week 13 contest against MIA; Charles Clay (knee) is inactive for the Dolphins. If you were planning on starting Clay, be sure to quickly scoop up and start Dion Sims, who will start in his place. We expect big games out of Lamar Miller, Ryan Tannehill and Jarvis Landry. Landry could be a rising star, so look for him to progress down the stretch here in these final five games of the NFL season. As for those Jets players, only Percy Harvin has decent upside on a weekly basis, and that's only at a WR3 in larger leagues.
SMITTY: Stay tuned on this on! Looking for Week 12 Power Rankings?
SMITTY: Shane Vereen, for the first time this season, looked like a feature back. Sure, he only ran the ball 12 times, but that was his first double-digit carry game this year, and he totaled 47 yards on those carries. His 71 receiving yards and two TDs on five catches was beast-like and it’s starting to look like New England knows what they have in Vereen. He is back to RB2 status, folks! Tom Brady was solid once again this week, tossing for 261 yards and 3TDs against the Jets. Rob Gronkowski pulled in five passes for 68 yards. On the Jets side of the football, Chris Ivory rushed the ball 21 times for 107 yards and a touchdown. He has RB2-type upside as far as talent goes, however, will the Jets feed him constantly? That’s always the question. Looking for Week 7 Power Rankings?

According to ESPN, Jets RB Chris Johnson doesn’t expect to spend much time on the bench in Week 1. “At the end of the day, they wouldn’t have brought me in here if I wasn’t going to have a big role, if I wasn’t going to be a big part of this offense,” Johnson said Wednesday. “That’s something I’m not worried about. I’m not worried about my role and how it’s going to play out. As a free agent, they could’ve chosen a lot of different guys. They already had some guys in here that had some success. They weren’t going to bring me in here for no reason.”
SMITTY: I like Chris Johnson a lot at his late 5th- to early 6th-round ADP/value… that’s around players like DeSean Jackson, TY Hilton, Michael Crabtree… I’m not suggesting that any of those players aren’t solid, but the risk is low when it comes to CJ2K if you ask me… Looking for Chris Johnson Week 1 Power Rankings?
According to nydailynews.com, Titans’ running backs coach Anthony Lynn had this to say on Chris Johnson’s potential workload in 2014: “That’s up to him,” Lynn said. “He’s definitely going to get the ball. So, it’s what he does with the ball… He can have as many yards as he wants.”
SMITTY: Anthony Lynn then went on to say this, though: “We’ve always played the hot guy.” He also added, “It doesn’t matter who it is. If you go in there and produce, you usually stay in.” So, the opportunity is there for CJ2K entering 2014, the guy will just need to stay healthy.
