According to reports, Broncos WR Wes Welker (concussion) is expected to play Week 1 against the Colts.
SMITTY: There is still a lot of guess-work at this point, but we expect him to play Week 1. We will let you know if Wes Welker suffers any setbacks. Welker’s healthy won’t affect Peyton Manning at all in 2014, as Emmanuel Sanders is set to take on the WR2 action in Denver this upcoming year. Throw in the fact that Demaryius Thomas is a 100-reception receiver capable for pulling in 1,400 yards and 12-14TDs, and that Julius Thomas is 1,000-yard, 10TD capable himself, the numbers are going to be there for Peyton Manning in 2014. Sanders might pull in 1,000 yards and 10TDs this year, he is looking like a big-time breakout, but one that people clearly see coming… his ADP is climbing fast!
