According to Cleveland.com, Browns coach Mike Pettine had this to say on rookie RB Terrance West: “There were some times where he made plays, and then he made rookie mistakes some other times. He can catch the ball. He’s shown that in camp. We’re pleased with where Terrance is, but it’s something…he just needs to continue to get better. Some guys kind of say, ‘OK, I made it. I’m on the roster,’ but to me, they need to accelerate, not decelerate.”
SMITTY: While it’s not uncommon for coaches to try to motivate rookies with “he has to improve” talk, it’s a nice reminder to all the Ben Tate believers out there, me being a big one, that Tate has a real shot at being a 1,200+ yard, 10TD rusher in 2014… all he has to do is stay healthy… Looking for Ben Tate Week 1 Power Rankings?
