According to CBS New York, Giants RB David Wilson will be ready for 2014. Giants general manager Jerry Reese had this to say about his running backs: “We brought in Rashad Jennings and he’s definitely a bell cow type of a running back – he can run it, he can catch it, he can block, he can do everything with it. David Wilson is an explosive player, but first and foremost we’re concerned about his health. We do think all systems are go pretty much for him to be healthy and ready for contact during training camp.”
SMITTY: If you’re examining this rushing attack from a fantasy perspective, don’t write off rookie Andre Williams. He may not pull in passes, but he is one of the hardest running rushers I’ve seen in quite some time. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if he got a few starts this year. As for Jennings, he does have some low-end RB2-type upside, but I’d only buy/draft him at flex-like value myself (and hope for that low-end RB2-type output). David Wilson is a player you grab near the end of a draft and just hope for the best, but it can’t be assumed, at least at this point, that he can help you in 2014.
