NEWS: Ben Tate rushes for 51 yards on 10 carries on Monday; Is Tate a monster steal in drafts?

In Monday night’s preseason contest against the Redskins, Browns RB Ben Tate ran the ball 10 times for 51 yards; rookie Terrance West ran the ball eight times for 31 yards.

SMITTY: There is no better sneaky RB2 right now in drafts if you ask me. I have scooped him up in two expert drafts in the last 48 hours, and I got him at the top of the 6th-round in both, and saw him go at 6.01 in another draft I’m currently drafting in. That’s value! Is Terrance West a must-own for all Tate owners? Absolutely, but West has roughly an 8th-round ADP, so he can be scooped up no question, thus providing you with RB1-type appeal at the cost of a very, very low-end RB2 (if even that, as the combination of 6th- and 8th-round picks is more like flex-type value). Tate, if healthy this season, could punch in 10-plus touchdowns, rush for well over 1,200 rushing yards, and pull in 40 receptions for 300-350 or so yards. Looking for Week 1 Power Rankings?
