NEWS: TY Hilton (hamstring) not practicing yet on Thursday?

SMITTY: This is a tough spot to be in for all you TY Hilton owners out there, as the Colts have already clinched the AFC South. The Colts could be cautious with Hilton so that he is ready to rock in the playoffs. Stay on this via our news wire, and be certain to dial into our Smart Alerts in order to get updates on the receiver heading into kickoff (should news break). Looking for Week 16 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Rashad Jennings (ankle) not likely to play Week 16?

SMITTY: He isn’t practicing, so it’s not looking good for Jennings for Week 16. Expect, for now, Andre Williams to get starter carries in Week 16, which makes him a fine flex option, and in some cases, a low-end RB2! Looking for Week 16 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Cam Newton taking first team reps, on track to start Week 16?

SMITTY: He took most of the first-team reps during Thursday’s practice, which indicates he will be back in the line-up this week (unless, of course, he suffers a setback of some kind, which is why you need to be dialed into our Smart Alerts). This is great news for Kelvin Benjamin and Greg Olsen, but Cam is still a risky play given we aren’t sure how much his back will affect his play (especially running) in Week 16. NEWS: Andre Johnson (concussion) back practicing and expected to play Week 16?

SMITTY: He was inactive last week but appears set to return against the Ravens. With Case Keenum/Thad Lewis as the top passers in Houston right now, it’s tough to know what you’re going to get out of anyone but Arian Foster in Week 16. AJ is a WR3 in most formats, though, and Hopkins can flirt with WR2-type numbers based on his talent alone, but again, with passers like Houston has, a dud week is just as likely as any sort of solid week. Horrible timing for Week 16. If Julio Jones sits (and he will be a Sunday morning call), make sure Harry Douglas (monitor his health) isn’t sitting on waivers, as he is a fine Week 16 plug-and-play if Jones sits. If Jones doesn’t sit, Douglas still has WR3 upside. Looking for Week 16 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Julio Jones (hip) could miss Week 16?

SMITTY: Earlier reports suggested that coach Smith expects Julio Jones (hip) to play the Saints in Week 16, but we have seen this too many times before, where a coach, or player, promises the world and then sits. Don’t count on having Julio this week if just to ensure you’re prepared for the worst-case scenario. Harry Douglas, one of our top pick-up recommendations of the week last week, should be owned in all formats, as he is almost a low-end WR2 whenever Julio is out. We will keep you posted once we know more on the stud’s status for this most-important week in fantasy. Looking for Week 16 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Frank Gore (concussion) and Carlos Hyde (ankle/back) both questionable for Week 16.

SMITTY: Both have a short week, as the 49ers play the Chargers on Saturday night. As it stands now, both on the wrong side of questionable, which would make both Alfonso Smith and Bruce Miller set to split the workload in Week 16. Hyde might have a touch better chance to play this week, and if he started he’d be a great flex play, but it’s still way too early in the week to predict this. Stay tuned! NEWS: Keenan Allen (collarbone/ankle) done for the year?

SMITTY: Not only is he dealing with the ankle injury, it does appear he injured his collarbone. Expect him to be done for the year, although, he is technically being called week to week. What a shame for a player that came out of one of the most impressive rookie seasons (last year) for a receiver we’ve seen in quite some time. Before you write him off in dynasty, or for 2015, keep in mind that Dez Bryant was one of the most doubted ‘will he ever be that stud receiver’ entering his third NFL season…. it just takes three seasons sometimes, even for elite studs like Dez. Give Malcom Floyd, Antonio Gates and Eddie Royal small bumps heading into Week 16, just because they will see more targets. Looking for Week 16 Power Rankings?

NEWS: Week 15 Monday Night Inactives

SMITTY: Robbie Gould is inactive for the Bears in tonight's Week 15 battle against the Saints; Jay Feely will kick for the Saints in this one. If for any reason you didn't know about Gould, grab Feely and start him ASAP. As for game predictions, we expect a high-scoring outing, with Drew Brees dialing up at least 2TDs, and if this game doesn't get out of hand fast, Matt Forte could be looking at a nice little stat line in this one. Alshon Jeffery is a WR1 heading into this one and Week 16, while Mark Ingram is too talented to bench, but the threat of inconsistent carries has him looking more like a RB2 in the final two weeks of the fantasy season. While there is concern about Jimmy Graham coming through for fantasy owners here in the final two weeks of the fantasy season, we feel pretty good about him being a top 5 finisher this week when this game is all said and done.

NEWS: DeMarco Murray suffers broken hand and will require surgery.

SMITTY: Horrible news. DeMarco Murray will undergo surgery to repair the hand (left), but he hasn’t been officially ruled out of Week 16. We expect him to miss Week 16, but stay tuned. Players with similar injuries have been known to come back in 1-2 weeks, but since most fantasy seasons end after Week 16, Joseph Randle becomes the top pickup of the week! Lance Dumbar could see in uptick in production as well, but Randle is a tough runner capable of 100 yards and a score any game he gets big carries. Stay tuned.

NEWS: Keenan Allen carted off field in Week 15; he will undergo an MRI today.

SMITTY: He left the stadium in a walking boot on Sunday. We will let you know what the MRI results reveal, but his odds are not looking good for Week 16. While the receiver has clearly disappointed in 2014, it’s important to remember that this is just his second year, and while some receivers explode during their second seasons, and even their first seasons in some cases, often times a receiver doesn’t come into their own until their third campaign. Just keep this in mind next year, and buy-low in dynasty if the deal is ridiculous. This kid has massive amounts of talent, he just needs the football on a consistent basis. Will that get fixed next season? That’s tough to say.
